Oxford Uni welcomes Malala

7 years ago by Laura

We love ❤️ to be the bearers of good news ? when it seems like there is none so here’s a story about a very brave woman ? who has stood up to terrorists and triumphed in the face of adversity ?.

When she was 15 years old, Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban on her way to school ? for speaking out about girls’ education ?. Now aged 20, Malala has not only continued her campaign for girl’s rights ? to education, but was the youngest person ever to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize ? and is now a student at Oxford University.

On 9th October 2017, five years to the day that Malala was attacked, she attended her first lectures on philosophy, politics and economics ?. She’s inspired both children ? and adults ? around the world ? and shows it doesn’t matter what age you are, you’re never too young to fight for what you believe in ?.

“Let us remember: one book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world.” ✌️
