Oxford Uni welcomes Malala

1 month ago by Laura

We love ❤️ to be the bearers of good news 👍 when it seems like there is none so here’s a story about a very brave woman 👩 who has stood up to terrorists and triumphed in the face of adversity 📢.

When she was 15 years old, Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban on her way to school 🏫 for speaking out about girls’ education 📚. Now aged 20, Malala has not only continued her campaign for girl’s rights 👧 to education, but was the youngest person ever to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize 🏆 and is now a student at Oxford University.

On 9th October 2017, five years to the day that Malala was attacked, she attended her first lectures on philosophy, politics and economics 🎒. She’s inspired both children 👧 and adults 👩 around the world 🌍 and shows it doesn’t matter what age you are, you’re never too young to fight for what you believe in 👊.

“Let us remember: one book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world.” ✌️
